“Rockquiem For A Wrestler” Live Cast Recording Out Today

Ton-Up, Inc. is proud to announce the release of a live cast recording from the Rock-n-Roll Wrestling Spectacle, “Rockquiem For A Wrestler.”  The CD contains eight songs from the show, recorded during the elevated staged reading at New York’s Triad Theater on June 27, 2020.  Featuring the music of Eddie Star (Eddie Star & The Zero Effect, JoyBox) and composer Paul Castrataro (Portrait of Dorian Gray, Fags & Cellphones), the album will initially only be available in the Compact Disc format.

The story about a champion wrestler revisiting his past, transports the audience simultaneously between the world of professional wrestling and being at a rock concert, is currently being developed for the screen.

Written and Directed by Philip Paul Kelly (Ragtime On Ellis Island, Elf the Musical, Titanic the Musical), and Co-Produced with The Triad Theater’s Peter Martin, the show has been a great success with Wrestling and Music fans alike.

ActorROCKQUIEM FOR A WRESTLER, writer, and director Philip Paul Kelly (Elf the Musical, Ragtime on Ellis Island, Titanic the Musical) held the first reading (March 5, 2019) for his new rock musical “Rockquiem for a Wrestler” at the Triad Theater, in New York City.
